I view counseling as a collaborative process. In sessions, we will focus on exploring your feelings and life challenges. The goal is to help you begin to lead a happier and healthier life. Therapy can help you increase your self-understanding. You will learn more effective ways to cope with feelings and situations that you may be experiencing. By processing emotions, you will begin to develop improved coping skills. You will learn how to restructure negative thoughts into positive thoughts, develop creative techniques to reduce stress, and increase self-care strategies to achieve your goals.
My focus is on helping you to empower yourself, allow yourself to become stronger and more determined to reach the goals that you set for yourself. You will begin to take things into your own control, make decisions that are in your best interest, and most importantly make yourself a priority. I work with many clients in education, healthcare, emergency response, & military personnel as they navigate to balance life and work. I provide co-parent counseling, reunification counseling, and supervised visitation to support families during divorce or separation.
My specialties include working with clients that are experiencing depression, mood challenges, anxiety, family conflicts, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, chronic medical illness, as well as adjustments in their personal & professional lives. I work with clients that are experiencing depression and anxiety related to chronic medical conditions which may include: Infertility, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Cancer, Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Pain, Lupus, Migraines, and Arthritis.
