I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Pennsylvania and a trained Yoga Instructor. My goal is to help you develop the skills you need to overcome life’s challenges. I provide counseling to older adolescents to adults in individual, family, and relationship counseling. My focus in counseling is to help the clients to cultivate improved communication and deeper connections in their relationships. In counseling, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment to empower you to openly express your feelings as you move through your journey to become healthier and happier.
I specialize in marital counseling and family systems work by helping clients navigate stressors, such as adjustment issues, anger, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, family conflict, life transitions, communication challenges, and relationship difficulties. Clients also seek counseling for gender and sexuality (LGBTQIA), grief and loss, obsessive compulsive disorder, self-esteem issues, as well as personal growth and development.
In our lives we go through may transitions in our lives such as: high school to college, college to working full-time, single to married life, divorce to single life, changing careers, or adjusting from working full-time to retirement. If you connect with a compatible counselor, counseling can be safe place where you can explore choices, decisions, and new opportunities.
Through self-exploration, mindfulness, lifestyle changes, and solution-focused sessions you will begin to identify the goals that you would like to focus on in your life. We will develop a comprehensive treatment plan to help you cultivate your own success plan. My education and professional background in both mind and body provides a unique and effective approach to counseling.
In sessions, I employ a variety of evidenced-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based interventions, behavioral activation, solution focused therapy, supportive therapy, and positive psychology techniques. I emphasize a mind-body approach to mental wellness, connecting healthy lifestyle changes and evidence-based practices to help you create change and feel better.
It is very helpful if you ask questions during our appointments so that I know how to tailor your counseling sessions to meet your needs. During the first few sessions we will map out a specific plan for the changes you want to occur in your life and identify the steps needed to make this a reality.
In my practice, I offer both daytime and early evening appointments so that you can find a time that works best for your schedule. I offer office based appointments in Ormond Beach, Florida or telehealth counseling through a secure video connection.
